Fushun Hanking Direct Reduced Iron Co., Ltd. was established in 2003 in the Hanking New Materials Industrial Park within the Shenfu Reform and Innovation Demonstration Zone, Liaoning Province. It is an important operating platform for Hanking Group’s iron-based materials business and has long specialised in the research, development and production of premium ductile-iron pig iron and high-purity pig iron.

The company operates a 580-cubic-metre blast furnace with supporting material-supply, pulverised-coal injection, pig-casting and production-support systems, providing annual production capacity of 600,000 tonnes of ductile-iron pig iron. High-quality raw materials, specialist smelting technologies and end-to-end quality control support a stable supply of iron for advanced casting applications.

To meet the purity and consistency requirements of high-end equipment manufacturing, the company has developed a product system that includes ductile iron, foundry pig iron and high-purity pig iron for casting. It independently developed high-purity pig iron for advanced ductile-iron castings, supporting domestic production and application of high-end pure pig iron.

Hanking-brand ductile-iron pig iron features stable composition and low levels of impurities and harmful elements including sulphur, phosphorus, titanium and manganese. Its products principally serve wind power, nuclear-power equipment, automotive manufacturing, precision manufacturing, aerospace, marine engineering, rail transit and other major-equipment sectors.

The ironworks is the company’s core production unit, integrating raw-material supply, automatic batching, pulverised-coal injection, blast-furnace smelting, pig casting and equipment maintenance. Through automation, process optimisation and continuous technological innovation, the company has developed several product grades, including pig iron for wind-power castings, pig iron for nuclear-power castings, and low-sulphur, low-phosphorus and low-titanium ductile-iron pig iron.

Upstream of blast-furnace smelting, the sintering and shaft-furnace systems process high-quality iron concentrate into sinter and pellets suitable for smelting. Scientific batching, mixing and granulation, pelletising and roasting provide burden materials with uniform particle size, stable strength and favourable metallurgical properties for high-purity pig-iron production.

The company has established a quality-inspection system covering raw and fuel materials, production processes and finished products. Its testing and analysis centre provides professional support for raw-material evaluation, process control, product-composition analysis and quality traceability, creating an effective link between research and development, production and customer requirements.

To support green production and sustainable operations, desulphurisation, dust-collection and related environmental facilities are deployed across sintering, shaft-furnace, ironmaking and pig-casting processes. Ongoing equipment upgrades and process management improve energy and resource efficiency and environmental performance while maintaining stable production.
