Fushun Hanking Group Co. Ltd., founded on August 8, 1992, was the first stock company with non-public ownership economic composition in Fushun. There are 5,500 employees in the group, whose scope of business extends to mining, metallurgy and commerce. In 2003, Hanking Group ranked 409th among the top 500 private enterprises in China and in 2006 ranked 11th in top 100 taxpaying private enterprises in China, and so was awarded “Advanced Private Enterprise For Employment & Social Security” by the Ministry of Labor & Social Security. Ms. Yang Min, the board chairman, was elected the deputy to the 11th National People's Congress, the president of the Private Mine Chamber of Commerce in Liaoning General Chamber of Commerce, and was awarded the following honorary titles: “National Model Worker”, “2008 National Woman Pace-Setter”, “100 National Excellent Socialism Constructor of Chinese Characteristics”, “10 Chinese Economic Women of 2005” and “10 Economic Figures in Liaoning of 2006”. The operation philosophy was established in order to strengthen the management and make the enterprise large and strong, i.e. “Precise Management, Exploitation & Innovation, Harmonious Culture, Effective Operation”, and the guideline of “Safety, Cleanness, High Quality & High Efficiency” was carried out in mining and the development direction of building “Harmonious, Green and Safe Mine” was followed.
In the past years, with the support and help from the society, Hanking Group developed to be the largest private enterprise for iron ore producing in Liaoning and possessed 9 medium-sized enterprises engaged in mining and processing in Fushun, Benxi, Liaoyang, with the annual processing capacity of raw ore 4 million tons and annual output of iron concentrates 2 million tons, which is sold to steel & iron enterprises in Fushun, Benxi, An’shan and Hebei Province. The mining division not only exploited the iron ore resources in Liaoning province, but also in other areas and abroad. The international mining technicians and experts were retained for management and technology development. Hanking mining division was approved the prospecting project in Jilin Xiao Shi Ren Gold mine, which strengthened its ability to prospect for noble metal and non-ferrous metal. With the resources and capital, mining division developed cooperative projects to promote the enterprise to be a general and international one. Besides mining, the Group also invested selectively in non-mining industries. In 2001, Fushun Department Store was renamed Hanking Department Store after the Group invested RMB 140 million to acquire its property and relevant right to the use of the land. The Group also entered into Shenyang, the commercial center of Liaoning province. In July 2004, the Group signed an agreement for structural transformation & activation of Shenyang North Trade Building, then formed Shenyang Hanking Department Store Co., Ltd. In November 2005, Hanking Department Store 0101 Fashion Town started its business.
In 2002, the Group cooperated with Beijing Science & Technology University for the project of producing direct reduced iron (DRI) in “Rotary Furnace” and set up Fushun Hanking D.R.I Co. Ltd. During its expansion to steel & iron industry, the Group also participated in the structural transformation of state-owned or state holding steel & iron enterprises. In June 2004, the Group acquired 75% Chinese shares of Sino-Japan Joint Venture --- Shenyang Toyo Steel Co. Ltd., and invested RMB 150 million for the first phase technology reformation of continuous casting & rolling production line. With the completion of reformation, the annual production capacity for high-quality special steel bar is 500 thousand tons now.
Fushun Hanking Group Co.
