“Green Mine” is the feature of Hanking mining’s management. The tenet of “No bucking for current advantages, investing to improve environments, benefiting the offspring, greening the mines” is the embodiment of Hanking’s highly social responsibilities and a reformation in mining industry.
Hanking Mining adheres to the principle of “harmonious mine, green mine and safe mine”, paying more attention to the environmental protection and investing in tackling of tailings. 10 processing plants were accepted by related experts during environment assessment. Each year, the company invests about RMB 500,000 for greening the slopes and tailing reservoirs as well as recovery of vegetation. The company also invested 6 million to rebuild 2 safe and environment-friendly deposits in place of 2 old deposits that did not meet the environmental standard for historical reasons, and so was praised by Environmental Protection Administration.
The dust-colleting system in refining furnace of Toyo Steel Company has been out of repair, which will affect the environment severely.
In July 2006, the company invested RMB 861496.1 to reform the dust-collecting system in refining furnace. The aged bags and reverse blower were replaced; the dust-removing pipe was added; the granulating room was reformed.
After the reformation, the dust-collecting equipment can meet the production requirement and the emissions could be controlled within standard level. The dust removing efficiency is over 98%, which laid a basis for realizing our index of cleanness production.
